I know Oppo isn't a technical forum, but gosh-darned I'm at my wits end.
I have my 2000 Acura EL, and it's all like. OMG I HATE YOU, when it's warm.
Cold, it's fine. Idles a little high. It's throwing a P0132 code for upstream O2 — could this cause warm-bog / idle issues?
Once it's warm, the little bastid decides to bog out, near 2k RPM. Also it'll idle poorly and hit like 500rpm and shake to nancy-heavens.
I've cleaned the IACV, I've checked for vacuum leaks. NO AVAILS. NONE.
Halpme Opposmarts.

Still the original O2 sensor? If so, change it. Yes it could cause fuel/air issues.

Maybe.
The upstream 02 is the primary, the downstream simply monitors cat efficiency. P0132 is upstream 02, voltage too high. And it has to do with the heater circuit in the o2. Most of the time this code will not cause a driveability concern. But if Honda engineering requires your vehicle to go to 'limp in' if this particular code is set, this is your driveability problem. Always chase the code first.
Still sounds like a vacuum leak....intake/pcv or a dirty throttle body for the idle concern. But it look as though you've done preliminary diag on those.
If you have access to a scanner, watch 02 values, and see if they quit switching at those 2 points.
If you don't spray carb cleaner/brake cleaner all the way around the intake - backside- known ported vacuum hoses-and see if the idle flares.

Yeah, the previous owner relocated the upstream farther down the header, to the downpipe because of the aftermarket header. I'm sure it's a chop-job just like the distributor harness.

I have a "new" used sensor going in. ECU pins check out, so that's a relief. The whole wiring harness is a chop job due to the B that used to be in the car. First swap is new distributor with whole wires, and the O2... May relocate back to the header, in the bung — although it's before the 2-1 junction... I dunno if they took a universal, and spliced the wires in — especially with a High V to the heater circ

Carb cleaner all along gaskets, hoses, along cruise and evap lines — nothing. I DID get a flare ONE time on the backside, but since replacing the IACV and inside gasket, nothing.

Back up a few steps.
When did the driv concern start? Was it right after some stress/hard rainstorm/hard driving?
Did the mil and the driv concern happen at the same time?
How long did the car run well/how long have you had the car?

This is pretty well from purchase. It had sat for a year. Driv happened the first time I took it out, after purchase (Had to put a deposit down sight, unseen — friend of a friend)
Was told there was "no" problems. Get there, there was an MIL. Turns out these were guys I didn't want to really question (scurry types) — but I figured meh, can't be that huge of an issue to figure out.
Drives fine cold, sometimes will be fine on the highway — mostly low rev, in town driving that the bogging/sputters/low idle occurs. Idle isn't surging like itw as on start up, thankfully.

I was afraid of that.
Cold engine is open loop, so 02 data is largely ignored. So suspect a fuel delivery/related to 02 data problem to start with. That will require access to a live data OBDII scanner. Hook one up and monitor TPS/02/MAF data for a few days.
I am not familiar enough with Hondas and what is compatible as far as engines/wiring/ecms, but once you have zeroed in on a data issue, you might have the wrong ecm for this engine's 02.
And you might be able to ck if a p0132 will cause 'limp in' on a Honda forum. If it does, you must chase the code, at all costs.
edit: Ya know.....I wonder if that 02 uses the header for a ground for the heater....??? Because I'm sure the reference voltage ground is attached to the harness/ecm ground, and they probably are not shared with the heater ground (too much voltage fluctuation)

The ground issue is possible — ECM is the car's stock ECM.
